The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the Ghana Premier League will resume on the weekend of Friday, March 7, to Monday, March 10, 2025, starting with Matchday 23.
The league's return is subject to ongoing safety and security inspections of match venues, which the GFA is conducting in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
These inspections are aimed at ensuring all facilities meet the required standards before matches resume.
The GFA has also scheduled outstanding fixtures from Matchdays 20, 21, and 22. Matchday 20 will be played from Tuesday, March 18, to Thursday, March 20, while Matchday 21 is set for Tuesday, April 1, to Thursday, April 3. Matchday 22 will follow from Tuesday, April 15, to Thursday, April 17.

In addition, Asante Kotoko will face Sekondi Eleven Wise in an outstanding MTN FA Cup fixture on Wednesday, March 12, at a venue yet to be confirmed.
The GFA has urged all stakeholders, including club officials and the Ghana Police Service, to ensure strict adherence to the Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols.
