Popular Ghanaian rapper and businessman Okyeame Kwame, has endorsed King Paluta as his pick for Artiste of the Year.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Okyeame Kwame wrote: "Artiste of the year. Signed, sealed, delivered. And he is wearing the love equation by ok. Medaase."
While he didn't specify which award ceremony he was referring to, many believe he’s talking about the upcoming Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA). His post has sparked discussions about who should win the Artiste of the Year title this year.
King Paluta is seen as a strong contender due to his hard work, popularity, and success in 2024. He released three hit songs ‘Aseda’, ‘Makoma,’ and ‘Pop Champagne’ along with an album and many performances both in Ghana and abroad. This has helped him gain a lot of attention.

However, other artistes like Stonebwoy, who also had a great 2024, and King Promise, who was a top candidate last year, are also being considered for the award.
To win Artiste of the Year at the TGMA, an artiste must have been very popular and released a successful song, EP, or album. They also need to have received several nominations. The nominations for this year’s awards haven’t been announced yet.
