POLWAS drums home need for peace

Members of the Police Wives Association (POLWAS) have marched through the principal streets of Koforidua in the New Juaben Municipality in the Eastern Region to drum home the need for peace before, during and after this year's general election.

Led by Mrs Charity Kudalor, the Wife of the Inspector General of Police, they carried placards, some of which read "we want peace", "talk on issues and not insults", "Ghana needs peace", among other inscriptions.

Addressing the members of the association after the march, Mrs Kudalor stressed the need for Ghanaians to continue to live peacefully with one another.

The Eastern Regional Minister, Miss Mavis Ama Frimpong, commended the police wives on their initiative of calling for peace during the general election.
