NPP polling station fun games today

The first ever New Patriotic Party (NPP) polling stations fun games in the Dome/Kwabenya Constituency will be held at the T.I. Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission School at Ashongman, near Madina in the Greater Accra Region, on Saturday, August 9, 2014.

Mr Emmanuel Nana Kwasi Nyame, the Chairman of the Agbogba D.C. Two Polling Station, who announced this in Accra on Friday, said about 100 out of the 176 polling stations in the constituency were expected to participate in the games.

He said the games, on the theme, “Walk and Talk to Victory 2016,” was aimed at mobilising support for the party to win the 2016 general election.

Mr Nyame said the games would also be held in honour of Lawyer Adwoa Safo, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, for the number of projects she had initiated in the constituency.

He said the games would also afford the participants the opportunity to plan a strategy for members to, at least, win over 20 registered voters into the party every month.

Mr Nyame mentioned some of the projects the MP had initiated in the constituency as streetlights, a maternity clinic and the provision of educational materials to some basic schools.

The polling station chairman appealed to the leadership of the party to foster unity and work hard to ensure victory in 2016.

Some of the activities for the fun games are football, ludo, tug-of-war, draught, table tennis and sack race.

Top officials of the party are expected to grace the occasion, which starts at 8a.m.
