Movement roots for Prez Mahama
An affiliate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Grass-roots Empowerment Movement (GEM), has unveiled a strategy to win the 2016 election by obtaining 57 per cent of the presidential votes.
The strategy, entitled: ‘Equipping the grass roots towards 2016 election’ with its slogan “Operation conquer,” will be coordinating house to house, door to-door, town halls, community meetings and mini rallies, explaining government policies and projects to Ghanaians.
Retaining the NDC
Inaugurating the programme at a forum in Accra, the National Coordinator of GEM, Mr Teddy Asare, said GEM was aimed at retaining the NDC in power come 2016, adding that a similar campaign would be replicated nationwide.
“GEM is going to work relentlessly to retain political power come 2016 with an appreciable margin through the smooth cooperation between the party’s structures.
“Our aim is to be psychologically prepared and ready to deliver a win for the party with an appreciable margin of 57 per cent as we proposed with belief to achieve our target,” he stated.
