Ashanti NPP Reconciliation Committee meets factions in Ejisu Constituency
The Chairman of the Ashanti Region Reconciliation Team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ambassador Edward Boateng, last Saturday held a crunch meeting with all the factions in the Ejisu Constituency.
It formed part of a deliberate effort to ensure maximum unity within the party in the Ejisu Constituency ahead of the 2024 election.
The meeting, which was facilitated by Dr Kwame Agyeman-Budu, was held with former constituency party executive members at Ejisu.
It was aimed at fostering unity while enhancing effective collaboration among the leadership of the party and members in the region.
A statement issued by the team said the meeting also served as a follow-up to the recent engagement with Kwabena Owusu-Aduomi last week, where similar concerns were raised.
It said in attendance at the all-important meeting was the Member of Parliament for Ejisu, Kwabena Boateng, who doubles as the party's parliamentary aspirant.
It said it served as a positive step, signaling a collective commitment to strengthening party structures for victory in December.
The statement said key issues discussed included the recognition of the importance of peacebuilding, cohesion and teamwork within the party in the Ejisu Constituency in the Ashanti Region.
Chairman
It said the chairman of the committee stressed the need for all members to work together towards a common goal, particularly as the party prepared for the upcoming electoral activities.
It said he called for cooperation and understanding to ensure that victory was within reach.
The statement said the Reconciliation Team would continue to work tirelessly to ensure that all party members in the region were united and focused on the task ahead.
It said Ambassador Boateng assured attendees that more of such engagements would be organised “to maintain momentum and resolve any lingering conflicts within the party.”
