Chief Kabore calls for support for Dr. Bawumia for his impact on Zongo Community and Ghana
The Chief of the Fise Zongo community in the Greater Accra Region, Chief Hamidu Kabore, has called for support for the Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in recognition of his work as Vice President and his vision for the country.
Welcoming Dr. Bawumia to the Fise Central Mosque, where he joined the community for Friday prayers, Chief Kabore praised him for distinguishing himself as Vice President. He urged the Zongo community to support and uplift him to the presidency so that he can implement his vision for the nation.
Highlighting Dr. Bawumia’s impact on the Zongo community, Chief Kabore noted the Vice President’s strong relationship with the Zongo people, which has led to various forms of support for individuals, groups, and communities, including notable infrastructure development.
"Dr. Bawumia is one of us, and we should all be proud of him because the nation is proud of him, given what he has accomplished," Chief Kabore said.
"Let us throw our weight behind him and give him the support he needs to make history and have a positive impact on the nation for all of us," he added.
In his remarks, Dr. Bawumia reflected on his political journey, describing it as divine, noting that his current position is due to the will of God.
"Many predicted that a Muslim could never be a presidential candidate of the NPP. They openly said it was not possible. But I believed in Allah's ways, and I am here today because of Allah's will," Dr. Bawumia said.
He also appealed for support in his presidential bid, asking for votes in December, as he has policies that will benefit all Ghanaians.
"Being President is not about me. It is about all of us, our children, and our nation, Ghana," he said, adding that his historic election as President would inspire future generations and reinforce Ghana's status as a nation that values diversity.
