Labourer found hanging at Mpraeso
The body of a twenty-two-year-old labourer, Paul Frafra was Thursday been found hanging on a mango tree with a rope tied around the neck at Mpreaso in the Eastern Region.
The late Frafra is alleged to have committed suicide by hanging himself on the mango tree with the nylon rope.
The Eastern Regional Police Command has launched an investigation into the death.
According to the Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mr Ebenezer Tetteh, the incident was reported by Mumuni Yakubu who was accompanied by two others to the Kwahu Tafo police at about 7:30 a.m. on Thursday June 14, 2018.
Yakubu said on June 13, 2018 he left his labourer, Paul Frafra aged 22 at home and went out but, met his absence when he returned.
He indicated that all efforts made to trace him failed.
However, the next day at about 7:30 am, he had information that the labourer had been found hanging on a mango tree in a bush between Kotoso and Ahinase dead.
DSP Tetteh said the police proceeded to the scene with the complainant and found the late Frafra hanging the mango tree.
He said no marks of violence was found on the body which has since been deposited at the Kwahu Government hospital mortuary at Atibie for preservation and autopsy.
