ICGC Obuasi adopts children’s ward
The International Central Gospel Church, Shiloh Temple at Obuasi, has adopted the Children’s Ward of the Obuasi Government Hospital.
The ward was cleaned, colourfully painted and its mosquito nets replaced. The church also donated beds, mattresses and bed sheets, food items, detergents, confectionery and toiletries totalling GH¢ 7,500. Additionally, the church members donated over 60 pints of blood and were encouraged to donate blood all year round to ensure that the children’s ward did not lack blood.
This was part of the church’s 25th anniversary celebrations, which had the theme: “Celebrating 25 Years Of God’s Goodness”.
Presenting the items, the Area Superintendent Minister of the International Central Gospel Church, Shiloh Temple, Reverend Sylvanus Adjei-Brown, said the presentation was to share the festive mood with the unfortunate children.

He said as Christians, it was incumbent upon them to share what they had with others, especially children, hence the church’s decision to adopt the ward.
