Chinese industrialists form association
A Chinese Association for FuJian in Ghana has been formed and registered under the laws of Ghana by Chinese industrialists to guide its members in the country to be law-abiding.
The association has one of its objectives to help create a more stable environment for investment in Ghana to attract other investors and also create jobs.
Members include industrialists from steel, food, beverage, groceries, tourism, paper, textile and wood sectors.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony in Tema , the President of the association, Mr Xu Ning Quan, who is also the Managing Director of Sen Tuo Steel in Tema, said the association for FuJian in Ghana would also guide and help every member to invest and work legally in Ghana.

He observed that it had become necessary for the Chinese business community to give support to the Ghanaian economy so long as they remained a part of the society.
Objective
Mr Ning said as industrialists, they had come together to form a formidable group to help set up more industries and also create job opportunities in the economy.
He said every Chinese who came to Ghana would have to register with the association which had been registered under the laws of Ghana.
Appeal
Mr Ninig Quan appealed to Chinese nationals arriving in the country to register with the association to legalise their stay and also engage in ventures which were of interest to the Ghanaian government and the economy.
He noted that the association would facilitate communication and strengthen cooperation between the Chinese and Ghanaians for peaceful co-existence .
Police Commander‘s caution
The outgoing Tema Regional Police Commander, DCOP Maxwell Atingane, who was the guest speaker , told them to be law abiding and make their stay profitable for Ghana .
DCOP Atingane said it was good news that they had formed an association to be able to identify the bad lots among them .
Call for Education
He urged them to educate their nationals so that those with bad intensions did not dare to enter the country .
DCOP Atingane cautioned that the security services in the country will not spare those who engaged in negative activities .
He commended the industrialists for coming together to form the association and for conceiving the idea of supporting the economy by creating more jobs .
Award of certificates
Members were later given membership certificates to authenticate their membership status.
