Star of the Sea Int. School wins Japanese Speech contest

Master Isaac Wenide of Mary Star of the Sea International School at Kasoa emerged the overall winner of this year’s Japanese Speech Contest held in Accra.

The young boy impressed the panel of judges with a presentation in fluent Japanese on the topic: “What I will do if I go to Japan?”

After his speech, the judges were visibly impressed with the manner in which he answered their probing questions regarding his presentation in Japanese.

Among the four-member panel of judges were the Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Kaoru Yoshimura; the Chief Executive of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, Mr Koji  Makino; the President of the Japanese Community in Ghana, Mr Kaz Tamura, and Dr Samuel Agyei, the Secretary to the Ghana Alumni of Japanese Universities.

A total of 24 Japanese language learners participated in this year’s contest.
