Oriens Complex School Joins fan club family

The Oriens Complex School Junior Graphic Fan Club has been inaugurated at a ceremony at Top-Town, Ngleshie Amanfro in Accra.

Inaugurating the club, the Assistant Editor of the Junior Graphic, Mr Vance Azu, advised the children to cultivate the habit of savings to enable them to buy copies of the Junior Graphic every week instead of spending all their money on sweets.

He encouraged them to read the Junior Graphic regularly since most of the information in the newspaper can hardly be found in textbooks.

Mr Azu said some of the benefits club members could derive from the Junior Graphic included the improvement of their reading and writing skills, as well as the broadening of their world view.

The occasion was also used to swear into office the six-member executive of the club. They are Nana Yaw Annor Abankwah, President;  Darline Amoafo, Vice President; Maame Yaa Ampofowaah Ohene, Secretary;  Margaret Darko, Assistant Secretary; Augustina Yaa Gyamfi, Organiser and Joseph Ayete, Assistant Organiser. The Patron of the club is Mr Franklin Ohene-Akomeah.

Darline Amoafo emerged the winner in a quiz competition organised to test the knowledge of the club members on articles published in the Junior Graphic.
