MOH Basic Schools mark 40th anniversary

One hundred and forty-five junior high school (JHS) students and 150 Kindergarten Two pupils have graduated from the Ministry of Health Basic School at Korle Bu in Accra.

The event coincided with the 40th anniversary celebrations of the school. 

It was on the theme: “40 years of academic excellence, the success story of a public basic school.’’ 

Speaking to the Junior Graphic, The Headmaster of the school, Mr Felix Ohene, explained that the occasion was the main event to climax the 40 years anniversary celebrations.

According to him, the celebration was a year-long one and there had been other activities prior to the graduation ceremony.

The activities included a float, a tree planting exercise, donation to the Paediatric ward of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, as well as eye and ear screening for the children in the ward.

Mr Ohene also advised the JHS graduands to strive hard in life in order to excel in all their endeavours.

‘’I urge all of you to work very hard so you can succeed in life because the key to success is determination and perseverance,’’ he said.

The ceremony, which was sponsored by Cowbell Ghana, saw pupils entertaining the guests with some poetry recitals, cultural dances, singing and drumming.
