Miss Tourism Ghana at world contest
Fresh from her crowning as Miss Tourism Ghana 2013, Jessica Jamila Kawra is in Equatorial Guinea to compete in this year’s Miss Tourism World pageant.
The final event of the contest will be held on Saturday, October 12. Information from the Miss Tourism Ghana management team indicates that Ms Kawra is feeling at home on the Island of Mongobo where the contestants are going through their paces.
“She has already plunged into her role as a tourism ambassador for Ghana and is educating her colleagues and the pageant organisers about royal custom and costume in Ghana,” said a spokesperson for Ms Kawra.
The Ghanaian delegate had her coaching on royalty in our traditional system from Nana Awo Boamah II, Queenmother of Otoase in the Eastern Region, as part of her preparation for the contest.
