Biibiba in concert tonight

Germany-based Ghanaian singer and composer, Chris Kyere, and his German-born bassist wife, Micha, will mark the 30th anniversary of their Biibiba band tonight, October 5, at the Rising Phoenix (former Akuma Village), off the Accra High Street.

The couple  met in Berlin over 30 years ago where they formed the Biibiba Band.

Chris and Misha have  featured alongside  notable acts  both in Ghana and abroad. Artists they have  shared stage with  include Daddy Lumba, Kojo Antwi and Paapa Yankson, as well as Gregory Isaacs and other reggae greats.

A number of the couple’s  friends will also perform at the show. They include a German singer called Akosua, Stonebwoy, Daddy Bosco and the S.O.Z Squad,  Abu Rasta and  others. Party is Free, Biibiba’s fifth album, will be launched at the show.

Emcees for the night are Culture B and Black Santino.
