Class Media Group cheers up children

A number of well-known personalities including gospel singer, Obaapa Christy and actresses Lucky Lawson and  Vicky Zugah, were on hand on Easter Monday to entertain children from selected orphanages at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra.

The occasion was the Celebrity Orphanage Easter Funfair organised by the management of Class Media Group (Class 91.3FM, Accra 100.5FM, Kumasi 104.5FM Adehye FM, Number 1 FM and CTV) to  cheer up the children at Easter  and  raise funds for the  orphanages. 

There were various games for the children who also danced their hearts out to live music performances. 

A free medical screening and donations of clothes, food, toiletries and toys worth over GH¢50,000 to the orphanages formed part of the event.

The orphanages were Teshie Orphanage, Potters Village, Chosen Home, Osu Children’s Home, Save Them Young, and Christ Faith.

Speaking during the event, the General Manager for CMG, Nana Apeanti, explained that the company was not in existence only to make profit but to also give something back to society, hence the health screening.

In addition to such events, he indicated that it has been the priority of the company to air educative programmes as a way of empowering people to help make this country and the entire world a better place to live.

He further indicated that since the inception of the company, the management has embarked on several gestures as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

He cited an amount of GH¢50,000 donated to single mothers to assist them educate their children and also to serve as seed capital to start businesses.
