DJ Eminimu sings about cleanliness
He is not the first musician to sing about sanitation but Gospel artiste DJ Eminimu believes he can add his voice to drum home the message for the need for change.
DJ Eminimu’s song, Yen Pa Mo Efin featuring Perpetual Didier and recorded by Chajay tells Ghanaians not to litter around.
Eminimu goes on to sing of children are dying of Malaria and other diseases caused by unclean environment. And that Ghana cannot grow as a country if we the people are not disciplined enough to keep our surroundings clean.
Perpetual Didier comes in on the third verse encouraging individuals to clean their houses and workplaces.
She encourages Ghanaians to desist from throwing rubbish about adding that such people should be punished when caught.
In a chat with Showbiz, DJ Eminimu said he is not happy that corporate bodies and the government are not supportive of his project.
“I took the video of the song to to Zoomlion and the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development to help me push it and the song but they were not forthcoming. I had to fund the promotion of the video on TV by myself” he said.
According to him, it hurts him them such a nice initiative is not getting the needed support it deserves.
