SMT Ghana introduces new Volvo truck
Leading automobile dealer, SMT Ghana, has introduced its latest heavy duty truck to aid the bauxite industry in the country.
The all-new Volvo FMX Truck and Trailer, the company says, is built purposely to make the transportation of bauxite easier.
It comes with a 440-horse power engine capacity and a 40-cubic metre Semi-Trailer Galvasi Bucket.
In an interview, the Managing Director, Denis Pylyser, said as a subsidiary of SMT Group with 22 branches across Central and West Africa, his outfit was reputed for providing quality heavy duty trucks.
He explained that the introduction of the new Volvo FMX Truck and Trailer was to boost mining operations in the bauxite industry, adding that its quality and durability were without question.
“It is a fact that bauxite mining is booming in Ghana, so we decided to introduce this new truck and trailer which is the best quality you can get anywhere,” he said.
The Sales Director of SMT Ghana, Nicolas Turpin, indicated that with the new truck, productivity would be enhanced.
He urged especially mining haulage companies in the country to go for the Volvo FMX Truck and Trailer.
