“Chango goes beyond being a financial tool. It is a community builder, a safety net, and an enabler of generosity. Whether it's helping families raise emergency funds, supporting a bereaved family, funding medical bills, or driving social projects, Chango is simplifying how people come together financially to support one another,” it said.

Addressing challenges

It said launched in 2021, Chango addresses the challenges inherent in traditional group contributions like 'Susu' and crowdfunding, providing users with a seamless way to collect and manage funds for various needs.

It said with Mobile Money and card payment integrations, the platform ensures accessibility for all adding that “since its inception, Chango has powered several fundraising campaigns for major organizations, including Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, the University of Ghana Medical Centre Ltd, and the One in a Million Project
Foundation, among others.”

The release said as FinTech continues to evolve, Chango stands as a powerful example of how technology can drive financial inclusion and empower communities while bridging the gap between those in need and those who can help.

“IT Consortium’s success with Chango is not just a win for Ghana but for Africa as a whole, proving that African-led innovations can solve real societal challenges,” it said.
