Advans Ghana opens new branch
Advans Ghana Savings and Loans has opened a new branch at Ashaiman in the Tema Metropolis.
The move forms part of the company’s strategic plan to improve its brand visibility and expand its distribution channels in the country.
It also brings the number of the company’s branches to 12.
The Chief Operating Officer of Advans Ghana, Mrs Barbara Odei, said the company was looking forward to expanding its customer base.

According to her, the bank had moved from a product approach to a customer-centric approach to ensure better customer service.
She said it was in this vein that the company decided to relocate its Ashaiman branch to its present location.
“The new branch is easy to locate, access, big and spacious and has all the facilities we will need in any modern banking hall just to make sure our cherished clients have a good experience”, she added.
She also said the bank, over the years, had introduced financial services including ‘E Cash’; a technology-driven cash-collection system and an international money transfer service for clients.
With the current influx of microfinance companies in the country, Mrs Odei advised Ghanaians to select the best among the lot.
She also said individuals must ask questions about the background of financial institutions, shareholders of the bank, their experience and governance structure; whether they are regulated by the Bank of Ghana (BoG) and their values whenever they wanted to transact business with any bank.
The Chief of Ashaiman, Nii Anan Ajor, who was at the ceremony, was appreciative that the bank had chosen to do business with the residents in his area.
According to him, Ashaiman, for many years, had been seen as the cradle for criminal activities; a perception that he and his elders were trying to address.
He said the current population of the area makes it a good business destination for any entrepreneur and indicated that he was ready to assist in the setting up of any legal business which would help fast-track the development of Ashaiman.
