WAFU competition: Black Starlets drawn in Group B
The Under-17 national team is expected to face winners of the last competition, Nigeria and neigbours, Cote D’Ivoire in the same group in what seem to be the toughest group.
These three countries are considered among the powerhouses of football in the subregion and placing them in the same group means one of them would not make the roll call to the next continental competition.
This latest draw means coach of the Black Starlets, Ben Fokuo, would have to really strategise well to be able to emerge out of the group.
In Group A, host nation Benin have also been grouped alongside, Niger, Burkina Faso and Togo.
The tournament which was originally scheduled to take place in November has been rescheduled to start in December 5 to 20.
