Polo: Pre-season party tomorrow

Accra Polo Club will organise the annual pre-season party at its club house, behind Shangri La Hotel, at 7 pm tomorrow.

The massive party, according to the newly-elected captain of the Club, Mr Kwakye Dopoah Dei, is to usher in the new calendar and announce the programme for the year.

The party, which is expected to attract of a host of dignitaries, will be preceded by some practice chukkas at 3 pm. The side attraction will be a fashion show.

Mr Dei, who is also the president of the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA), was recently re-elected as the captain of the Accra Polo Club for the third time.

The astute businessman and polo addict told the Daily Graphic that his vision is to provide a solid base to make polo very interesting and more attractive to Ghanaians.

He urged all polo players to be active in practice chukkas to keep them fit for the international assignments ahead of the club.

The stables manager of the club, George Agyemang, promised to keep the horses in shape to make the coming season very exciting and competitive.
