At 26 years old, Wollacott is a full Ghana international with 11 caps to his name. His previous association with Hibernian's head coach, Lee Johnson, stems from their shared tenure at Bristol City.

Johnson expressed his satisfaction with the signing, highlighting Wollacott's athleticism, courage, and confidence.

Given the forthcoming significant competitions, Johnson emphasized the importance of bolstering the goalkeeping department. Having observed Wollacott's progress over time, Johnson commended his growth and development. Wollacott has gained valuable experience, accumulating over 100 appearances and representing Ghana on the international stage.

Wollacott's arrival will provide healthy competition for current captain David Marshall. Notably, the goalkeeper missed last year's World Cup due to a finger injury sustained during warm-up prior to his final match before the tournament.

Having spent seven years at Bristol City, Wollacott embarked on multiple loan spells before joining Swindon Town for the 2021-22 season. Subsequently, he made the transition to League One with Charlton Athletic last summer, featuring in 20 games.

Hibernian is eager to benefit from Wollacott's talents as they strengthen their squad for the upcoming challenges on the horizon.
