Asumang wins MTN Spoons golf

Golfers Yaw Asumang, Kojo Choi and Ekow Nyarko, who were outstanding in the first quarter of the MTN Spoons golf competition, picked the first, second and third slots respectively as the competition entered its second quarter last Saturday.

By their victory, they have drawn a bye alongside Rene Kwame, and K. Rosha, among a few others, for the third quarter of the competition sponsored by mobile telecommunications company, MTN, in partnership with Tecno mobile.

The event, which attracted several golfers to the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono, is an annual competition which is played every quarter for winners and outstanding golfers who draw bye in  the competition.

Outgoing CEO of MTN, Michael Ikpoki, who played his final game before taking up his new appointment in Nigeria, was proud about the unique  tournament his company had been able to create with the Celebrity golf club.

In an emotional farewell message, he expressed gratitude to all the golfers for turning out to participate, saying the competition had offered the opportunity to bond with clients.
