Sunyani MCE wins Sunyani east constituency ticket

The Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive has been declared the winner of the NDC primary contest in the Sunyani East Constituency.
Mr Kwasi Oppong Ababio polled 2480 votes in the tension packed election to beat his only contender, Mr Collins Mahama, Deputy Regional NADMO Coordinator who garnered 1871 of the vote cast.
In the presidential endorsement, President Mahama had 4136 Yes votes as against the 204 No votes.
Supporters of Mr Oppong Ababio took to the street to jubilate after the announcement.
