PNC gets Northern Regional Secretariat

The People's National Convention (PNC) has opened an office in Tamale to serve as its Northern Regional Secretariat to help to undertake its administrative activities.

The General Secretary of the PNC, Mr Bernard Mornah, who opened the office, said it sent a positive signal to all that "the PNC is alive and coming back" to power to serve the best interest of the people.

Mr Mornah said the opening of the regional secretariat was also a message to the Electoral Commission (EC) that the PNC had offices across the country, indicating that it is a vibrant party.

The EC, in a recent report, said the PNC did not have the required number of offices across the country, as required under the Political Parties Act.

Mr Mornah said the Northern Regional Secretariat would be an active office and "the base that will be the springboard for re-galvanisation of the party."
