NDC final rally: Your vote is your power - Mahama
The Presidential Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has reminded voters that their vote on election day is their voice, power, and the key to unlocking a better future for Ghana.
He has therefore urged Ghanaians to embrace their civic responsibility by casting their votes to create the change the nation desperately needs.
Speaking on the significance of Saturday's elections, Mr Mahama stressed the need for a collective effort to reset Ghana across all sectors.
He stated, "This is our moment, and the time is now to bring about the change we need in order to reset Ghana, we need to reset our democracy, to reset our governments, to reset our economy, to reset our finances, reset our agriculture, reset our infrastructure, environment, reset our health and education sectors and everything else that we hold dear as Ghanaians."
Speaking at the NDC’s final rally at Zurak Park in Madina on Thursday evening [December 5], Mr Mahama urged voters to reject despair and choose hope on Saturday.
"Let us vote to reject impunity and choose respect. Let us choose hard, working and trustworthy leadership", he added.
Mr Mahama described the upcoming election as a defining moment for Ghana, presenting voters with a critical choice between the current state of the nation and a future of opportunity, prosperity, and justice for all.
"Mission to Build the Ghana we want is a collective responsibility, and so let us vote on Saturday to reject despair and to choose hope," he said.
He emphasised the urgency of resetting the country’s democracy, governance, economy, agriculture, infrastructure, environment, health, and education sectors to bring about meaningful change.
He reiterated his commitment to leading this transformation, assuring Ghanaians that he would work collaboratively to restore the nation’s stability.
"The change we are looking for, starts with you. And I promise you that we will get will work together to be able to put our country back on its feet" he said.
