Korle Clottey NDC Communication Officer suspended
The National Functional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended the Korle Clottey Communication Officer of the party, Mr Emmanuel Ashalley Tetteh, for contravening the code of conduct of the party.
A letter signed by the General Secretary of the NDC, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, and copied to the Klottey Korle Constituency executive, stated that Mr Tetteh had been suspended for contravening the code of conduct which forbade officers to sit on radio to castigate the leadership of the party.
According to the letter sighted by the Daily Graphic, the national executive has clippings and video footages of Mr Tetteh insulting former President John Dramani Mahama and the party leadership for causing the defeat of the party in the 2016 elections.
Disciplinary committee
This evidence will be put before the suspended officer when he appears before a disciplinary committee of the party to state his case.

Speaking to the Daily Graphic in an interview, the Klottey Korle Constituency Secretary of the NDC, Mr Dizzy Quaye, confirmed the suspension of Mr Tetteh.
Mr Quaye said he had copied all the 160 branches of the party in the constituency, and asked members not to do any business with Mr Tetteh until the decision of the National Executive Committee was reversed.
He said the suspended officer would appear before a national disciplinary committee to defend himself before any decision could be taken on him finally.
Mr Quaye said the Deputy Communication Officer, Mr Julius Neequaye Kotey, would act in his place until the indefinite suspension was lifted.
He said Functional National Executives had also asked Madam Emelia Nortey to act in place of the Women Organiser following the death of Mrs Belinda Yakah, until elections were held.
“We hope that all the branch executive will co-operate with the directives till further notice,” the letter said.
