Former NDC Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Benjamin Komla Kpodo, has donated a consignment of medical equipment worth GH₵299,456 to the Ho Municipal Directorate of Health, for onward distribution to eight health facilities in the area.
The items included 20 BP apparatus, 20 digital thermometers, 60 salter scales, 60 bathroom scales and 60 infantometers.
There were also four delivery beds, four delivery sets, 10 foetal dopplers, two centrifuges, five oxygen cylinders, seven digital stabilisers and six laptop computers.
The beneficiary facilities are the Deme, Lumeand Klefe Health Centres, as well as Matse Zone two and Hoviefe CHPS compounds.

The others are the Matse Health Centre, Taviefe Heath Centre and Ziavi Health Centre.
“They are to be distributed to the health facilities based on their needs,” said Mr Kpodo, as he presented the equipment to the Municipal Director of Health Service, Perfect Titiati.
He said it had long been his desire to support those health facilities to bring relief to the people.
For her part, the municipal director of health services expressed gratitude for the gesture, saying the donation was timely.
“We hope other public-spirited individuals and organisations will emulate this good example of the former MP and help us in similar ways,” she added.
Present were the Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, and the NDC MP for Ho Central, Kofi Kpotosu.
