TD Jakes arrives for Impact Summit
A renowned preacher and the Senior Pastor of the Potters Church, Bishop Thomas Dexter (TD) Jakes, has arrived in Ghana to participate in the 2014 Impact Summit organised by the Christian Action Faith Ministries (CAFM).
Bishop TD Jakes is the guest speaker for the week-long conference which started on November 30, at the Action Chapel International in Accra.
Speaking at a press conference Tuesday, Bishop TD Jakes expressed delight at the current economic development in the country.
He advised Ghanaians to adopt an inclusive strategic approach towards resolving the economic challenges, adding that “economic development is interdependent and countries need each other in order to support and connect to facilitate development”.
Bishop TD Jakes commended the General Overseer of Action Chapel International (ACI), Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, for his immense spiritual support to the country.
He also praised the hospitality of Ghanaians, especially, to their foreign neighbours whenever they visit the country.
He added that he was privileged to be in the country again since his last visit in 2006.
Impact Summit
The Summit is an annual conference of CAFM popularly known as Action Chapel International (ACI).
The summit dubbed “Thy Kingdom Come” is expected to address issues on leadership development and also empower the youth to be focused and dedicated in their services to God.
It is expected that a cross section of business, faith and government leaders from more than 20 countries around the world will be in Accra at a Leadership Breakfast meeting with Bishop Jakes.
The President of the Republic of Ghana, President John Mahama and several ministers of state are expected to attend the leadership meeting on December 5, 2014 at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra.
Speakers for this year’s summit include Pastor Paula Whyte, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, Dr. Jasmin Sculark, Prophet Victor Kusi Boateng, Rev. Dr. Robert Ampiah Kwofie, Bishop T.D. Jakes and Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams.
