SIC Insurance refurbishes KNUST Vulcanising Unit

SIC Insurance Company Limited has presented a cheque for GH¢19,125.21 to support the refurbishment of the Vulcanising Unit of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)

The donation, according the country’s largest and leading general insurance risk underwriter, is to assist the Institute in their quest to promote quality education and to also strengthen the cordial relationship that exists between the two Institutions

Present to hand over the cheque were some officials of the Kumasi Area Office of SIC Insurance led by the Area Manager, Mrs. Dzifa Kwawukume.

In her remarks, she said SIC Insurance saw the need to refurbish the vulcanising unit of KNUST because of the role of the unit in the affairs of the university.

Mrs. Kwawukume said SIC Insurance had for the past two years consistently supported KNUST by sponsoring the training of their drivers which has impacted positively on their skills.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ellis Otoo, expressed his appreciation to SIC Insurance and said he hoped other institutions would emulate the gesture.
