‘Refrain from acts that undermine peace’
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Jaman North, Mr Siaka Stevens, has urged Ghanaians to refrain from acts that have the potential to undermine the peace and stability of the nation, while they wait for the Supreme Court’s verdict on the election petition.
He said no matter our political affiliation, we are one people with the common goal of seeing to the total development of the country. He, therefore, called on Ghanaians to accept the ruling by the Supreme Court regarding the 2012 election petition for the sake of peace, stability and development.
Mr Stevens was addressing participants after a peace walk organised by the Jaman North District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), in collaboration with the District Inter-party Dialogue Committee (IPDC) at Sampa in the Brong Ahafo Region.
The peace walk, which took place from Sampa to Suma Ahenkro, was to sensitise the people to the need to maintain peace in the district ahead of the Supreme Court ruling on the election petition.
