
President Mahama arrives in Nairobi
President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in the Kenyan capital to honour an invitation by President Uhuru Kenyatta for a three-day state visit.
He will also serve as a special guest of honour at Kenya’s 51st Independence anniversary celebrations today.
President Mahama and his entourage were received at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by the Deputy Kenyan President, Mr William Ruto, Ghana’s High Commissioner to Kenya, Mr Kingsley Karimu, and other dignitaries.
The President inspected a guard of honour at the airport where there was a cultural display by groups of Kenyan performers.

In addition to his role in the Kenyan independence celebrations, President Mahama will hold bilateral talks with his host President Kenyatta, who is the current Chair of the East African Community (EAC).
Ghana and Kenya are expected to sign some agreements in areas, including Trade, Tourism, Agriculture, Communications, Investments and ICTs.
The President will conclude his three-day state visit on Sunday, December 14, 2014.
