5 suspects in Mfantseman MP's killing picked by police
The police administration has announced the arrest of five suspects in connection with the killing of the Mfantseman Member of Parliament, Ekow Kwansah Hayford.
The 49-year-old MP was shot dead by unknown assailants while returning from a campaign tour on the Nkusukum Mankessim-Abeadze Duadze road in the Central Region at about 1am on Friday, October 9, 2020.
According to the police, the suspects are being taken through "lawful Police procedures".

The police public affairs directorate has said further updates will be given in due time.
However, Graphic Online gathers from some police sources that the five suspects were picked up from the Central and Ashanti regions.
The first suspect Graphic Online gathers was picked up on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 and the second was arrested Thursday, October 15, 2020.
On Friday morning the third suspect was reportedly arrested and on Friday evening the final two were picked up and were being interrogated as of 6pm Friday.
The arrest according to police sources was based on intelligence and police leads.
