Onua Pa foundation supports three communities

ONUA PA Foundation, an NGO that advocates better care for the elderly, has donated some items to three villages along the Densu River, near Koforidua. The villages are Obuotumpan, Ampedwae and Kwakyekrom.

The items included used clothing, travelling bags, shoes, jewellery and kitchenware all valued at about GH¢6,000. They were donated to ONUA PA by friends from Ghana and the United Kingdom. The donation forms part of the support ONUA PA gives to deprived communities from time to time.

The brief presentation ceremony took place at the Obuotumpan L/A Primary School.

Five representatives from each village came to receive the gifts for onward distribution to the elderly women and men, with some youthful residents also benefitting.

The Chairman of the foundation, Mr Blessed Ayisi, told the gathering that ONUA PA had a team of medical volunteers who had organised four health-screening exercises in the Akuapem-North municipality and promised to visit Obuotumpan again very soon.
