National Service Scheme releases Pin Codes for 2016/2017
The management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has begun releasing enrolment PIN codes for prospective National Service personnel for the 2016/2017 service year.
A statement signed by the acting Executive Director of the scheme, Dr Michael Kpessa-Whyte, said prospective national service personnel, especially final year Ghanaian students, who would be completing accredited tertiary institutions could visit the NSS website, www.nss.gov.gh and under the “Applications” menu, use the students’ ID or index numbers assigned by their educational institutions to obtain the unique NSS enrolment PIN codes.
The new arrangement is intended to prevent identity theft and improve the confidentiality of the NSS enrolment processes.
The statement said enrolment PIN codes for those who could not undertake national service obligations in the previous years would be released later after the verification and authentication processes were completed.
The statement reminded all prospective national service personnel that the scheme would not enrol anyone after April 30, 2016.
It said more information about the registration procedures was available at the NSS website.
The statement urged all prospective national service personnel to follow laid-down procedures to make the registration and deployment of personnel a smooth exercise.
