Chief Inspector Yeboah said on April 23, 2016, Donkor telephoned Christiana’s business partner, one Mustapha Fayour, and claimed to have damning information regarding a cloth business the two were operating.
The prosecutor said Donkor threatened to publish the information if Fayour failed to pay him GH¢50,000.
Chief Inspector Yeboah said on April 25, 2016 at about 3:00 p.m., Christiana met Donkor at Kaneshie where the accused demanded an additional GH¢50,000 or he would proceed with the publication of the alleged damning information.
Christiana agreed to organise the said money and meet Donkor at the Accra Shopping Mall.
Unknown to him, a trap had been set for him and as soon as Christiana handed amount of GH¢5,000 to him, he was arrested by the police and was sent to the Regional Police Headquarters.
