Lead exemplary lifestyles — Apostle Oppong Brenya

The Lead Apostle of the New Apostolic Church, Ghana, Samuel Oppong Brenya, has called on Ghanaians to eschew extravagant lifestyles and live within their means to avoid economic hardship.

Apostle Oppong Brenya made the call during a visit to the Sunyani New Apostolic Church where he was welcomed by the Sunday schoolchildren with songs, drama and dancing.

The theme of his message was; “Peace, Unity, Truthfulness and Faithfulness”. He urged Ghanaians to be fair, honest, and hardworking wherever they are to help develop the economy of the country.

He called for unity in the church and the country at large and emphasised that no pastor or church member could solely develop the church unless there was a combination of forces or togetherness.

He added that without peace and unity, the nation would continue to wallow in economic dilemma. The lead apostle also urged Ghanaians to bury their differences and come together to move the country forward.

He encouraged pastors to be firm always, speak the truth as is established in the scriptures and desist from distorting facts in order not to deceive the congregation.

He said the way to heaven was through Jesus Christ and so pastors should abide strictly by the teachings of Christ and desist from exaggerations to help the congregation understand the word of God.

Apostle Oppong  Brenya was accompanied by the Area Apostle of the Apostolic Church, Ghana, Apostle Benjamin Darko, District Elders, Thomas Tonnu and Eric Osei Acheampong, the Rector of the Sunyani New Apostolic church, Shepherd Peter Nyame and other pastors and Sunday schoolteachers, including Mrs Hannah Nyame,  Simon Asante, Lucy Aboagye and Lucy Benewaa.
