
Lakeside Estate adjudged Best Developer of the year 2014
The Lakeside Estate Company Limited has once again been adjudged the Best Developer for the year 2014, lower income category, at the just-ended Seventh Ghana Property Award (GOPOA).
Lakeside Estate won the same award for the first time in 2012 at the Fifth Ghana Property Awards.
The Director of Lakeside Estate, Alhaji Salah Kweku Kalmoni, also won the Property Personality for the year 2014.
This year’s event which was held on November 8, 2014 at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra, had the theme: “Sustaining Infrastructure Funding through Private Equity Partnership in Meeting Ghana’s Service Demand”.

Affordable Houses
Lakeside Estate has successfully built and marketed quality and affordable houses for the past 14 years for the young executives and they continue to lead the industry with these innovative houses.
The Ghana Property Awards (GAPOA), which celebrated its seventh anniversary this year,is an annual event for the real estate industry and input suppliers in the country.
The award which started seven years ago has become one of the biggest industry awards scheme and the measuring rod for the success of practitioners and stakeholders in the real estate industry in the country. The award scheme was set up to encourage competition in good construction work and competitive pricing in the property and construction industry.
Organisers of award
This year’s award was organised by Property Express Limited in collaboration with the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA), Ministry of Water Resources, Works & Housing and other stakeholders in the building sector.
Innovative Product
Lakeside Estate was cited as having the desire to excel above the ordinary with the introduction of an innovative, quality and affordable product: The one bedroom which can be expanded to two bedrooms, which has made it possible for all classes to acquire their own homes.
In October this year, Lakeside Estate was adjudged the Most Enterprising Real Estate Company of the year 2014 at an event held at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel by business executives.
In an interview, the Managing Director of Lakeside Estate Ltd., Mr Noble Prince-Joseph Ayiku assured Ghanaians of their commitment to provide quality and affordable housing for all classes of people.
He further stated that the company was building a community with interesting designs which would be attractive to all, adding that “Lakeside Estate is committed and will remain focused to achieve greater heights in the years to come”.
Present to receive the awards were top executives of the company such as the Chairman, Col Timothy Mbro Barnes (retd); Managing Director, Noble Prince-Joseph Ayiku; Director, Alhaji Salah Kweku Kalmoni; Accounts Manager, Mrs Gladys Brown; Human Resource Manager, Mrs Adelaide Hammond and the Sales Officer, Gabby Asare.
The Deputy Minister of Water Resources. Works and Housing, Mr Johnny Osei Kofi, commended the award winners for their hard work and dedication and urged them to continue their good work.
