
Kumasi Children’s Home receives assistance
The Member of Parliament of the Adansi Fomena Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mr Daniel Kingsley Atta Boafo, has called for public support towards the upkeep of children in the various orphanages in the country.
He said although it was the responsibility of the government, through the Department of Social Welfare, to take care of the inmates of the homes, there was the need for added support from the corporate world as well as private individuals.
Mr Atta Boafo made the call when he led the leadership of New Earth Chapel in Kumasi to make a presentation to inmates of the Kumasi Children’s Home.
The donated items, estimated at GH¢6000, were organised by the MP, the Church and a US-based Ghanaian businessman, Mr Baffoe Adjei.

The items include rice, cooking oil, toiletries, used clothes, biscuits and assorted drinks.
