
Kofi Akpabli’s books launched
Two books written by Mr Kofi Akpabli have been launched in Accra by the Deputy Minister for Tourism and Creative Arts, Madam Dzifa Abla Gomashie.
One of the books, Romancing Ghanaland, focuses on the beauty and nature of Ghana and ‘Harmattan,’ the other, gives insight into the culture of Northern Ghana.
The books cover the nature of Ghana, especially the tourist sites, meaning of names and the background of some tribes.
Mr Akpabli described the books as tools that could tell the story of Ghana and help improve the creative arts industry.

“I do not preach, I do not speak of negative things but I paint a picture of what we have in Ghana to motivate the people,” he said.
The launch
The books were auctioned by Rev. Sylvanus Odotei of the International Central Gospel Church.
The first copy of the book was auctioned for GH¢2,000.
Lepowura Alhaji N. Jawula, who was the chairman for the occasion, described the books as a must-read and commended the author for his effort to impact the lives of Ghanaians positively.
Madam Gomashie expressed her gratitude to the author for his works and called on organisations and individuals to buy copies to support his works.
