Information Minister, deputy visit slain journalist’s family

Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and his deputy, Pius Enam Hadzide have paid a courtesy call on the family of the slain journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale at the family house at Madina to commiserate with them.
Oppong Nkrumah conveyed government’s condolences to the family and assured of its determination to uncover the crime, urging members of the public to provide the police information that will help get to the bottom of the heinous crime.
Ahmed, an undercover journalist who worked with Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye investigative team, was gunned down on Wednesday night by unidentified gunmen.
A brother and family spokesman Mustapha Idrissu, expressed the family’s appreciation for the show of condolence. He said the family would meet to decide the next steps after the burial ceremonies on Friday, and would convey any arrangements to the government.
