
IGP makes changes to Police Management Board
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has made changes to the Police Management Board (POMAB) to enhance operational efficiency and also ensure effective management of the Ghana Police Service.
The reshuffle, which was contained in a press statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Grace Ansah-Akrofi and issued in Accra yesterday, involves key positions within the service.
Reshuffle
Commissioner of Police (COP) Maame Yaa Tiwa Addo-Danquah, has been appointed as the Advisor of the Minister for the Interior while COP Paul Manly Awini takes charge of the Service Workshop in Accra.
COP Daniel Kwame Afriyie now heads to the Private Security Organisations (PSO) as Director-General,, with COP Dr Ernest Kwabena Owusu, assuming the role of Director-General of Services.

COP Mohammed Fuseini Suraji has been named Director-General of the National Patrol Department (NPD), while COP Dr Sayibu Pabi Gariba, now heads the Technical Directorate.
In the finance sector, COP Michael Netia Frempong has been assigned as Director-General of Finance, while COP Asumadu Okyere Darko takes up the role of Director-General, the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB).
Also, COP Iddi Lansah Seidu, takes charge of the Welfare Directorate, while COP Faustina A.K. Andoh-Kwofie, the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), has been appointed as Commandant of the Ghana Police Command and Staff College (GPCSC) at Winneba.

DCOP Lydia Yaako Donkor, head of Police Intelligence and Professional Standards (PIPS), takes over as Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), while DCOP Eric Ken Winful, takes over as Director-General of the National Police Academy and Training Directorate (NAPD).
Also, DCOP Gabriel Prince Waabu has been named Director-General of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) with DCOP Arhin Kwasi Annor appointed to serve as Director-General of Special Duties (SD) and DCOP Frederick Kofi Blagodzi overseeing the Human Resource Development Directorate.
Regional commanders
DCOP Duuti Tuaruka now leads the Ashanti Regional Police Command, with DCOP Francis Kwame Tsidi now leading the Western North Region; DCOP Abraham Acquaye, Central Region; ACP Wisdom Akorli, Volta Region; ACP Joshua Coppson, Oti Region and ACP Wisdom Lavoe, Northern Region.
Also, ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi has been appointed as Director of the Public Affairs Directorate (PAD).
Chief Superintendent (C/Supt) Solomon A. Korli is now the Executive Secretary to the IGP, while C/Supt. Kudjo Aboagye assumes the role of Chief Staff Officer to the IGP.
