Airtel Rising Star :Eastern region beats Ashanti in zone 2 competition

Eastern Region was crowned zone 2 champions in the ongoing Airtel Rising Stars grassroot football competitions last weekend.

The football programme is initiated by Airtel to discover and nurture untapped talented under 17 male and female school going children to give them a platform to become world class football stars with education as an integral part.

The zone 2 made up of two boys teams each from Ashanti and Eastern Regions, and one girls’ team each witnessed a display of fantastic football as the players exhibited great skills and individual brilliance much to the amazement of the Ghana Football Association Technical Director, FIFA and CAF Coaches Technical Instructor, Francis Oti-Akenteng, football scouts and fans present at the park.
