Adjiri Blankson calls for peaceful Homowo
A Member of the Council of State, Nii Adjiri Blankson, has urged the Ga Traditional Council to adhere to the directives given by the National Security Council to perform their traditional rites within their respective jurisdiction to avoid any conflicts.
He said the directives were part of measures laid down by the Security Council to ensure a peaceful Homowo celebration in the Ga State this year.
Mr Blankson stated this after presenting some items and cash on behalf of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to three Ga Traditional Councils towards the Homowo festival.
He was accompanied by the First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, and some government officials. They included the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr Ishmael Ashitey and the Accra Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Mohammed Nii Adjei Sowah.
