Nana Oye Lithur, Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection

Stop sharing nude photos of YFM Presenter – Gender Ministry

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has appealed to the media and the general public to refrain from circulating pictures of the YFM presenter who was allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted by unknown individuals.

In a statement signed by its Communication Advisor, Abraham Asare, the ministry appealed to public to halt the sharing of the nude photos of the victims, which were shared by her abductors on social media.

“The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection will follow this case closely to ensure that justice is done,” the statement added.

The Takoradi-based YFM was reported abducted by her employers Monday.

YFM management said they had not been contacted by the abductors and called on people with information that could help the police in the search for the victim to come forward.

The presenter was, however, found by the Police Tuesday morning at a hospital in Takoradi where she was on admission.

She had been missing for about five days.

Meanwhile Police in Takoradi have announced that Ada had been reported abducted four times in the past.
