La Dadekotopon MP tours WASSCE centres in constituency

The Member of Parliament (MP) for La Dadekotopon Constituency Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Ms Rita Odoley Sowah has visited some West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) centres to acquaint herself with preparations towards the exams and to motivate the candidates.

The MP who was accompanied by the La Dadekotopon Municipal Director of Education, Madam Habiba Kotomah interacted with school authorities and commended the teachers for preparing the students for the examination.

Ms Sowah visited three out of the four centres in the constituency and encouraged the students to aim for success and stay focused on their dreams. The centres she visited included the La Presbyterian, Labone and the Saint Thomas Aquinas Senior High Schools.

The MP in her address to the students challenged them to excel in their examinations, whiles encouraging them to make the most out of the time left for them.

According to her, it was not too late for those who had not prepared adequately to make amends and do so.

"Even if you have just a day more, it is enough time to assess yourselves and adjust accordingly," she said.

Consult among yourselves on things you are not clear on, and where you find yourselves wanting, ask your teachers for clarifications," she added.

At the Saint Thomas Aquinas Senior High School, the students in high optimism and great cheer expressed confidence that they would come out with flying colours.

The head prefect of the St Thomas Aquinas SHS, Master Ronald Antwi who interacted with the MP expressed appreciation for her visit, describing it as a morale booster.

For her part, the Municipal Director of Education, Madam Habiba Kotomah urged the students to abide by the rules and regulations governing the examinations.

She tasked them to put their knowledge acquired in the last three years to practice and make their parents, guardians and teachers proud.
