Green Drinks Ghana gives to Dzorwulu Special School

Green Drinks Ghana Limited has presented 20 cartons of Green Cola drink worth GH¢2,400 to the Dzorwulu Special School in Accra.

The gesture was to help meet some basic needs of the students to reduce the burden on the government and teachers who attended to them.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, Madam Priscilla Santuo-Agyekum, who presented the drinks to the school yesterday said the donation was part of their corporate social responsibilities.

“We decided to bring these drinks to support the school to meet the children’s needs,” she stated.

She noted that the government alone could not meet all the needs of the children, hence individuals and organisations should contribute their quota by meeting the school halfway.

Creating jobs

The Country Representative for Green Drink Ghana, Mr Georgios Vogiatzakis, said in an attempt to create jobs for Ghanaians, the company decided to invest in the country by setting up businesses.

“We are trying to produce locally instead of importing to enable the local economy to grow,” he mentioned.

He stated that the company would continue to support the school to reduce the burden on the government and teachers.

Mr Vogiatzakis, therefore, urged other organisations to support the school to enable the children to have normal lives and for a conducive learning environment.

The Assistant Headteacher of the school, Mr Frederick Tetteh, who received the items on behalf of the school said the drinks would go a long way to help the students.

He mentioned under-staffing as one of the challenges the school faced, adding that considering the state of the children, special care and attention was needed in teaching them.
