10 killed in private jet crash north of Moscow - Wagner leader Prigozhin 'on passenger list''
Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin was on the passenger list of a plane which crashed in Russia, killing all 10 on board.
He was believed to be on board the plane.
Earlier, a Wagner-linked Telegram channel Grey Zone reported that the jet was shot down by air defences in Tver region, north of Moscow.
Sky News reported that the Russian Civil Aviation Authority said Yevgeny Prigozhin was on the passenger list.
Seven passengers and three crew were on board the Embraer aircraft, which was en route from Moscow to St Petersburg, TASS news agency reported.
Prigozhin led a failed mutiny against the Russian armed forces in June.
The jet is said to have crashed in the Tver region, north of Moscow.
Multiple videos posted on social appear to show the jet crashing, Sky News reports.
Grey Zone said local residents heard two bangs before the crash and saw two vapour trails.
Tass news agency said the plane caught fire on hitting the ground, adding that four bodies had already been found.
The aircraft had been in the air for less than half an hour, it said.
Unconfirmed media reports suggest the business jet belonged to Prigozhin.
Prigozhin led a short-lived mutiny against Russia's top military brass in June, and was described at the time by Vladimir Putin as a "traitor". He was sent to Belarus in the aftermath of his march on Moscow
