Thumbs up for GH music
The president of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour, better known as Obuor (2nd left) and other Ghanaian music executives couldn’t help flashing the thumbs up sign after making a presentation about the next Ghana Music Week (GMW) Festival, at this year’s Marché International du Disque et de l'Edition Musicale (MIDEM) which ended recently in Cannes, France.
With him are (from right) Kofi Amoakohene and Henry Paa Kwesi Holdbrook-Smith of Scratch Studios and MUSIGA first vice president, Bessa Simons.
MIDEM attracts musicians, producers, agents, managers, lawyers, executives, entrepreneurs and journalists from around the globe regularly to the annual event.
The MUSIGA president said launching the 2017 GMW Festival at MIDEM 2016 was a way of helping to showcase Ghanaian music and tourism on a global stage.
